Important information

The three-Day Tour - along the rivers Rhine and Mosel and the Hightlights of Germany Tour are cancelled since only few people had booked these tours.

One-Day Trip - Castles around Münster

We organized an one-day trip - Castles around Münster at the 31.07.2010. Please note this tour is due to high popular demand fully booked and registrations are not possible any longer.

We depart for the two most famous castles in Münster by bus at 1:30 pm at the 31.07.2010 (meeting point: Fürstenberghaus). First we will see the moated castle Vischering in Lüdinghausen. It was built in 1271 for the prince-bishop of Münster and is one of the pristine castles in Germany. An English Tour guide will take us around the castle, revealing its fascinating history.

Afterwards we drive to the castle „Nordkirchen“. It was built from 1703 to 1734, also well known as the "Versailles of Westphalia". The castle is situated on a rectangular island surrounded by a broad moat-like canal. There are four small separate pavilions at the island’s four corners. The front of the garden points at a landscaped park of 170 hectares. An English speaking guide will show us the castle from the in- and outside for 1 ½ hours.

In the evening we drive to the oldest restaurant of Münster “Altes Gasthaus Lewe” where we will have a typical German dinner and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
